99 Facts about Me
First I read a similar post at Arzooon’s blog and got inspired to write one but got delayed n delayed, then I read it on Pari’s Blog, Strawy’s Blog and the latest on Keshi’s Blog… I thought it’s high time that I should put up this post :-)
Me Academically
1. I was never a studious student during my school days. I hardly use to concentrate on my studies.
2. My handwriting was horrible and still no better.
3. Uncles and aunties of my building used to tell my parents to restrict me playing cricket.
4. When I was a kid, like any other guy, I also wanted to join Army or become Pilot, but my parents were strict against it.
5. In my 10th Std I didn’t score above 50% in any subject before boards & scoring 71% in CBSE made my parents proud.
6. When I opted for commerce my parents faced many questions from the neighbourhood. I stay in BARC colony where 95% of the kids opt for science.
7. After 10th my academics took a big "U" turn and I was in the run for top slot.
8. I was overall second topper in 12th and topped in Economics in my college.
9. To be a Chartered Accountant was my dream since I was in 8th std.
10. Mathematics, Accountancy, Economics, Financial Management & Corporate Laws were my favourite subjects. I still hate tax (not only paying but studying too).
11. I missed the All India CA foundation merit by just 5 marks.
12. Clearing CA Intermediate in the first attempt took me to the seventh sky, as I was going thru a very bad phase in my personal life.
13. I won 3 best paper writer and presenter awards at Western India CA students conference and 1 at All India level.
14. On 12th July 01, my biggest dream of passing CA in first attempt got shattered. I was shaken to the core.
15. I cried like a kid, it took me almost 15days to realise that it’s gone. I still cry thinking about it.
16. I attended hardly 4 days of college in my first year of B'com, 2 in 2nd year and None in 3rd year.
17. Not because I liked roaming about, I had my articleship and CA classes.
18. I have been awake for 42 hrs at a stretch, this was while preparing for my CA finals, and next best is 36 hrs without sleep.

19. I'm a cricket freak, I used to play cricket a lot during my school days. I’m a left arm fast bowler but a right-handed batsman.
20. I used to do a lot of "dadagiri" in my building when I was a kid.21. When I was a kid I used to get injured a lot while playing, every second day some bandage, I have got 2 majors marks on my face
22. One is near my left eye, when I got hurt my bhaiya (where I & my sis used to go for baby sitting) took me to hospital and did all that was required…
23. I was with the worst guys in my 8th std, we used to shop lift small items for fun. Thank god I was out of that group after my 8th std.
24. I used to participate and did my first stage play when I was 14yrs and after that I never sat with the audience…
25. One strong reason for participating in annual functions used to be easy popularity amongst the girls… and a direct access road for friendship ;-)
26. I don’t know to play even a single musical instrument and I hate myself for that… would love to learn playing guitar or drums…
27. I don’t know how to swim properly… I went to learn once but due to work schedule couldn’t be regular…
28. I have never been to a gym but I feel that its high time I should… my tummy is getting bigger
29. I was tagged as Mr. DTL in my ex company and my friends says that I had a huge female fan club.
30. I gave autograph for the first time to a stranger during a CA student’s conference in Goa, I was completely filled with pride.
Me and My Taste Buds
31. I'm crazy about eating sweets… can't live without it.
32. Sweets are always at my home 24x7, I always get a sweet in my lunch box… I'm known for that
33. Earlier my family members used to tease me that they will have to see a halwai's girl for me… unfortunately her dad works in a bank…
34. Once my mom made "Puri" for breakfast and lunch and by the time I was thru with my breakfast hardly any Puri was left… I did not know it was for lunch too ;-)
35. I along with my friend went to one of our common friend's house on her b'dy, she challenged us on our diet, a big full container of dosa ata was used by her mom to prepare dosa, and we finished the entire container. After that my friends were scared to invite me.
36. As we don’t use onions at our home, I love the "kanda batata" bhaji that my chachi make… when I'm in Nagpur I always ask for it.
37. I never had non-veg in my life, I have tasted egg during my college days but even that stopped in a year's time. As on date, I'm a pure vegetarian.
38. I have never smoked cigarette and have never tasted alcohol till date.
39. I have been to a bar for the first time when I was 22yrs young… I had "Thumps Up" ;-) … I have never been to a dance bar.
Me n my Mini World
40. A mumma's child always ;-)41. My parents have given me all freedom to make my decisions. Most of the time I have not let them down.
42. I went to Nagpur after my 12th to do CA; I stayed there with my Chachaji, Chachiji and other relatives for more than 4 years.
43. I owe everything to my Chachaji for my professional life - he is my GOD FATHER.
44. I get influenced a lot by my Dad and my Chachaji's advice. They have a role to play in all my major decisions.
45. My younger cousins fear sharing about their girl friends with me… I just got to know about this… they have told all their stories to her and have told her not to tell me
46. During my school days I was always compared with my Sis, she got very good handwriting, very intelligent, used to keep her room clean too ;-)
47. I never bothered as I was a shameless fellow… and deep down I know she is better than me… and I'm happy about it.
48. I and my sis used to fight like crazy when we were kids, even to the extent of tearing each other's note books
49. We cried doing that as we felt bad for each other… she was always a papa's daughter.
50. On the last day of my 7th Std, sis completed 1/4 of my Hindi notebook… and my teacher was surprised with the overnight improvement in handwriting.
Friends Forever
51. In Junior college, we had a terrific group of 18 teen freaks… of which 11 were girls.
52. We were the toppers… the class bunkers… the CRs… the extra curricular leaders… and the most loved or most hated amongst the teachers ;-)
53. When I was in Nagpur all my friends used to write letters, emails were not there during that time, I have still kept atleast one letter of all my friends.
54. I'm extremely lucky when it comes to friends, I've got both quality and quantity… love them all.
55. Till I was in School, I hardly used to speak to girls. I was very shy in that matter.
56. Once I went to Junior college I used to talk only with girls… it was then when I realised that I'm good looking ;-)
57. I still have a ratio of more than 1:5, for every 1-guy friend I have 5 gal-friends.
58. Guys used to hate me coz I used to be friendly with most of the hot n sweet chicks of my batch.
59. First time a girl proposed me was after my 10th boards. (I never knew it was just the beginning ;-))
60. My first crush was on a Punjabi girl, 2 yrs elder to me, when I was in 6th Std… Most of my crushes are on girls elder to me…;-)
61. I somehow managed to be good friends with the girls I had crushes
62. A girl’s eyes and figure turns me on the most.
63. I had my first affair when I was 15 years old; it lasted for almost 4 years.
64. The girl of my life proposed me when I was 17yrs, I refused coz I thought its just her crush n she was my best friend.
65. She waited for me for almost 3 and half years without any commitments from my side. I love her for this. I proposed her on Dec 2000.
66. The glitter of her eyes when I said her "I love you" for the first time, still makes my day.

67. I have hardly fussed for anything since my childhood. My parents can count for things I have asked till date with their fingers.
68. But when I have asked for something I went to any extent to get that.
69. I don’t believe in arrange marriages and within a month of becoming CA, I got 2 marriage proposals, which were instantly refused by me, any ways I was just 22.
70. I love to get wet in rains and I do that every year.
71. I'm a complete movie freak. I watch almost every big banner movie and I watch them in theater.
72. When I was in Nagpur I used to go to see movies alone in theater. This used to surprise a lot of my friends.
73. I love to play computer games and I play them for hours if I get time, my favs are "Commandos" and "Age of Empires".
74. I started riding bike when I was 12yrs old but confidently took off on roads when I was 16.75. I bought my own bike in Feb 03… and I ride almost 1,000 Kms a month.
76. I've got regular back pain complaints off late due to my excessive bike driving.
77. I don’t want to travel like dogs in Mumbai local trains and busses… they are hopeless to the core...
78. My dream car is "Mercedes Benz"… will surely drive it one day…(don’t mind even as a chauffer ;-))
79. I love to dance but I hardly go to Discs, have been to disc for less than 5 times. I prefer private parties.80. I have yet not developed a taste for English songs; I listen to very few English numbers.
81. I don’t like to get up early in the morning. Cricket, World Cup Soccer and Examination blues are the motivating factor to see the early dew.
82. "You Can Win" by Shiv Khera has been a great inspiration for me especially during the tougher phases of my life…
Me as I am
83. I prefer to spend time with myself than to be in-group. Typical Virgo.
84. I get hurt very soon. Although I don’t appear to be but I'm very emotional.
85. I wrote my first poem when I was 16and then I realised it’s the best way to express my feelings.

86. I started writing diaries from 1999 and I love it… memories just flashes. Thanks to Blog now.87. Being eldest in my family I have got lot of "bhav"(attention) from all my relatives.
88. I had a dream run in 1998 & 2000 when I felt I just need to ask for something and it will be mine. I tasted success in whatever I tried.
89. I'm good at flirting but do it only with my good friends and whom I can trust.
90. I was always told that I look like Bobby Deol and I used to hate him… but so far his movies are hits, I don’t mind…
91. I want to do plastic surgery of my nose, don’t know if I'll make enough money for that ;-)
92. I don’t care what I do is correct or wrong in the eyes of the world, so far I can answer myself I go ahead with it.
93. I'm tagged as arrogant and pricy for my straightforwardness
94. I'm a very slow decision maker… which makes me very choosy too.
95. I don’t trust people easily.
96. I'm horrible while remembering names, I can remember faces but not names... its hard97. My room is always in a mess, I clean it once in a quarter…I have told my mumma not to take efforts in cleaning my room as there is no point doing it.
98. I love to play pranks; I'm good at executing it… I love to act too
99. I'm very good at telling lies and can say anytime without a blink in my eyes… although whatever I have written above are not lies… and this statement stands true till date.
