Why guys like girls

My friend forwarded me this post and I thought its worth blogging...

Here are a few reasons why guys like girls:

1. They will always smell good even if its just shampoo

2. The way their heads always find the right spot on our shoulder

3. How cute they look when they sleep

4. The ease in which they fit into our arms

5. The way they kiss you and all of a sudden everything is right in the world

6. How cute they are when they eat

7. The way they take hours to get dressed but in the end it makes it all worthwhile

8. Because they are always warm even when it’s minus 30 outside

9. The way they look good no matter what they wear

10. The way they fish for compliments even though you both know that you think she's the most beautiful thing on this earth

11. How cute they are when they argue

12. The way her hand always finds yours

13. The way they smile

14. The way you feel when you see their name on the call ID after you just had a big fight

15. The way she says "lets not fight anymore" even though you know that
an hour later....

16. The way they kiss when you do something nice for them

17. The way they kiss you when you say "I love you"

18. Actually ... just the way they kiss you...

19. The way they fall into your arms when they cry

20. Then the way they apologize for crying over something that silly

21. The way they hit you and expect it to hurt

22. Then the way they apologize when it does hurt. (Even though we don't admit it)!

23. The way they say "I miss you"

24. The way you miss them

25. The way their tears make you want to change the world so that it
doesn't hurt her anymore...

Because once in your life, whatever they were to the world they become everything to you. When you look them in the eyes, traveling to the depths of their souls and you say a million things without trace of a sound, you know that your own life is inevitable consumed within the rhythmic beatings of her very heart.

We love them for a million reasons, No paper would do it justice.
It is a thing not of the mind but of the heart.
A feeling. Only felt.

SO TRUE...

Tip tip barsaa paani… and the rest is ur imagination

The much-awaited monsoons have arrived in Mumbai… Welcome.
It’s a great relief from the tiring heat and the humid atmosphere…

It started pouring from Saturday but the rains were not so regular until Monday, when practically it rained the entire day…

The monsoon reminds me of
The walk near Nariman point, Worli sea face and band stand…
Watching the sea… holding someone’s hand

To get wet in the rain still thrills me … I don’t know why…
I really love having Garam garam bhajiya and tapri ki cutting chai
Woh barrasta paani and woh long drives on bike
Standing in my balcony and gazing at the sky

Well well well the monsoons here is not all that pleasant … the havoc it creates are

The long hour traffic jams … and
‘N’ number of potholes on every road…
Those unfinished road works
And “Inconvenience regretted” stating BMC’s board

The slow moving local trains and dirty BEST buses
The flooded roads and water filled houses

That’s Mumbai in Monsoons…

I love rains... and i just love it... no matter how much inconvinience it brings along.

Ek sher yaad aagaya…

“Aey barish zara thum ke baras
Mera yaar aaye to jum ke baras
Itna na baras ki woh aa na sake
Fir itna baras ki woh jaa na sake”

Happy B'dy Mom - 18 June

God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.

- Pat O'Reilly

Many many happy returns of the day Mom... I love you.
You are the simply the best.

On the dance floor oh kudhiye - Nach baliye

The snaps have come of the "farewell party" and they have come awesome.

"Oh churiyen chara dein ... Nach baliye
Oh mehndian kara dein... Nach baliye
Oh jhanjara pawan dein... Nach baliye"

The gang getting charged for the eve...preparing to Rock

"Jeene ke hain chaar din, baaqi hain bekaar din
Hey jeene ke hain chaar din, baaqi hain bekaar din
Jaaye jaaye, jaaye jaaye
Ek baar jo jaaye, jawaani phir na aaye
Hey hey, jawaani phir na aaye"

All guys going balley balley

The very special couple of the eve…
making sure they are not missing out on any fun….

"Baahon ke darmiyaan do pyaar mil rahe hain
Jaane kya bole mann dole sun ke badan
Dhadkan bani zubaan"

That’s me on the floor… no I was not drunk...

“Sapne mein milti hai, ho kudi meri, Sapne mein milti hai
Sara din ghungte mein band gudiyaasi, oye oye
akhiyon mein khulti hai”

humpe karo kuch toh karam
Kya kool hain hum
Kya kool hain hum"

Parineeta – A class movie

When I got to know that the movie is an adaptation of the novel by “Sarat Chandra” it created all the more interest in watching it. The movie landed to my expectations. A truly class movie - the story, the characters, the performance, the cinematography was awesome.

It was a my kind of movie, all about relationships and twists and turns… which makes one think… where every character is so correct and still the happenings are not…
The story keeps the interest going… and for someone who liked “Raincoat”, Parineeta will be a treat… although not as raw as Raincoat… it has a lot of substance to attract cinema lovers.

The only disappointment was the last 15 minutes… the climax… it was too dramatically presented, the typical Bollywood movie ending… overall package is good… definitely a worth watch.

Vidya Balan as a newcomer has done a terrific job… she looks so natural… and she is wow.

I love these lines…

hoth tere mai ke pyaale
kajrare naina tere
maathe par sinduri subaha
julfho main raina base
saansein yeh teri hain
dhadkan bhi teri hain
jeevan yeh tera hua
tere hi choone se
tan man saja mera
hui main parineeta

He is a jolly good fellow… he is a jolly good fellow…

"Don't be dismayed at goodbyes, a farewell is necessary before you can meet again and meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends."
- Richard Bach

My boss is moving to the mother company and yesterday was his farewell party. Yesterday being the mid of the week, made no difference to the fun we had…
We danced like hell… right from 8PM to 10:30PM rocking the dance floor.
After a long time I danced for such a long time… the DJ was good… and there was no stopping to our tempo.
Me, KS, AF, GSG & NK went non stoppable… be it Hindi, Punjabi, English or Marathi dance number…

I’m dying to see the photographs… courtesy big boss, who is always lively and makes sure the excitement never ends.
The guests, my boss and his wife too made sure they don’t regret missing the dance floor.

By the time our dance party got over, we were completely sweating… and I couldn’t eat anything… I was dehydrated… feeling sad for missing out on food but it was worth the dance.

It’s sad that he is leaving us, he was always a great support and I have learnt a lot from him. Wishing him all the very best in his new venture… will definitely miss his presence.

Dus Bahane kar ke le gaye dil… le gaye dil

This is my new caller tune… I love this song… the music is fundu

“Say here now here now
uski aankhon mein baatein, baaton mein jadoo
jadoo mein kho gaye hum hogaye beqabu
i looked at you, you looked at me
aur hogayi mushkil
and you became my destiny tuhi meri manzil
dus bahane karke legaye dil legaye dil
dus bahane karke legaye dil”

Caller tune is a new funda used by Orange to add more green bucks to its kitty, and crazy people like me waste money on these so-called attractions.

Whenever some one call me he can listen to the song selected as my caller tune instead of “tring tring”.

Rs.6 per minute is what Orange charges for calling 123; to set caller tune and I have expertise in changing my caller tune in less than a minute as I change couple of songs every month…

“Providing some incentive to my callers for ignoring them.”

My Love Style

After trying the personality test here is what my love style test says…

"Your Love Style is Eros"

For you, love is all about the passion!
And chances are, you're currently in love.
You have a strong physical response to love...
And you are great at committing
As long as the person makes your toes curl!)

"Raat hui jab shaam ke baad
Teri yaad aaye haar baat ke baad
humne khamosh rehkar bhi dekha
teri aawaz aai har saans ke baad"

Freaking out with friends…

Weekends are so fun… especially when I’m with my friends… my colony friends… we have been together since we were around 15yrs old… most of the Sundays we meet and freak out.

Again this Sunday we tried for Bunty & Bably but the show was houseful- none of us had time for advance booking and after a poor review we were not that enthu too-but look at the craze, the shows are still running houseful… We were fortunate to get the tickets for "D". So finally after 2 weeks we got to watch a movie together. The movie was fine; not that good but who cares… so far we guys are together we can chill out completely.

After the movie we came back to colony and as we do every Sunday; we just had a good time… chatting… pulling legs and enjoying the Sunday eve together.

So again Monday is back and we all are getting back to work… “char din ki chandani fir andheri raat”

SBI – Never thought they are so professional…

Thanks for the helping hand

State Bank of India, the biggest nationalised bank is quite famous for their lethargic work. I was approaching all the banks for housing loan so I thought of giving a try at SBI too… I was just exploring my options and I never thought that I’d finalise my deal with SBI.

Their processing speed and way of dealing was very much different from what they are known in the market. I’m really happy about the whole deal… not only I got the bank which is the most reliable but also probably with the best rates and terms… and the loan got sanctioned and disbursed in less than a fortnight of entering into the agreement for sale of flat.

The best part was that when I interacted with the Branch Manager, he showed a lot of concern and also later made efforts for sanctioning the loan in such a quick time. Thankfully I was not interacting with those typical marketing and sales MBAs’ who most of the time lack complete knowledge about their products and are only bothered with finalising the deal… and of course no irritating phone calls every 3rd day.

After the entire deal got over, I went with a box of sweets for the two mangers, but they refused to accept it as it was against their bank’s policy… after me insisting they accepted just one box that too for their entire staff…

It was a complete professional deal and in a complete professional manner… hats off to SBI… if these guys are gonna work with this zeal I’m sure no other banks will ever come close to them … already they are too tough of a competitor.
