For someone very special...

After a long wait finally the time came... it kept us waiting for months... last time the rains played the spoil sport so this time I was so skeptical about sharing this with anyone...
but yes... as they say "Better Late than Never" and the moment came when I met her after a very long time...

"Aisi nazar se dekha us zalim ne chak par
Hum ne Kaleja rakh diya chaku ki nok par"

Long distance relationships are so tough to live by... and we are into this for years... as I've always believed that if a relationship can tackle time and distance its worth going for...

Sometimes when things don't move your way its so frustrating... and so is the wait and watch game... which is going in my life since long...

Would like to share one of my compositions... again sorry for my Non-Hindi blog pals...

Mohabatt ki dastan kal bhi wahi thi
Mohabatt ki dastan aaj bhi wahi hn
Ki zamane ne badalne ki koshish bahut
Par aaj bhi is rah par har galat sahi hn

Mohabatt aur bagawat ko to daman hn purana

Mujhse kehte hn tumko bhula de
Apni aah mey nahin tumhe panah de
Aankon mey basi ho ashr mey baha de
Dil mey dhadkti ho dhadkan to ruka de

Zamane se kya kahun..
Mohabaatt soch kar nahin ki jaati hn
Ye kambakht na jaane
Kab kahan kaise ho jaati hn
Soch kar ki jaati to mohabatt kahan kehlati
Soch kar ki jaati to dil main kahan samati
Aapko kya samjhau meri bhi samajh ke bahar hn
Dil ki dhadkan mey woh hn
Aur is dhadkte dil ko ussey pyaar hn

Scissors cutting the scenes or the clothes…

I was watching “Yeh Dillagi”, on TV, and the song came “Hoton pe bus tera naam hain”…and my sis and me had a conversation that this song was supposed to be one of the hottest number of that era… and we were laughing coz it was no more appealing now…

The trend has changed drastically… an onscreen kiss used to be very rare and anything more than that was only shown by directing towards a garden full of roses, fire burning or may be a sun set… and the rest was left for the audience to understand…

Infact even a kiss in the movie used to sell that movie… if “Raja Hindustani” will be remembered then for the makeover of Karishma Kapoor & the onscreen kiss with Aamir. There were some more movies like that…

But today, an onscreen kiss or steamy scenes are not exceptional… every second movie is sold on the basis of such publicity… be it movie trailers or MMS… producers know that skin sells…

Off late… Aashiq Banaya Aapne had a steamy scene… so did the recent realize Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena… and can anyone forget “Murder”… and these were not the typical Bollywood steamy scenes…

(lemme divert from the topic for a moment, I recently saw EKEH , and I loved the movie… am sure most of the audience will not like it… I loved the pranks shown in the movie and ofcourse Koena Mitra… she is one hot n smart bong babe)
Ok back now…

My whole point is the impact which these movies or rather such scenes have on the kids… the movie definitely gets the “A” certificate… but that’s only for watching the movie in the theater… and most of such scenes are already shown in the trailers… shouldn’t Censor board restrict showing of such scenes on TV… what’s your thought???

Secondly how comfortable are you watching such scenes in front of your family…
(This reminds me of the post by z000nie on Titanic ;-). Other day “Aashiq Banaya Aapne” was coming on the TV and I knew when that steamy song/scene was going to come and I smartly changed the channel before that scene… I still can’t watch such scenes in front of my parents… I’m not comfortable…

Few months back when I was sitting in the salon and waiting for my turn… two kids…probably in 7th – 8th std were discussing about the genuineness of the MMS clips starring Mallika, Riya Sen and others… I was taken back for a moment… I laughed at myself and remembered that when I was in 7th … my friend had told me the process, which leads to the birth of a baby… and I was like yaaaks… (Now I’m laughing again)…

I would like to know your thoughts… should sensor sharpen the scissors or no big deal… these things have to be accepted with the change of time…

Meet My Best Pal…

After meeting two virtual characters of my life... lemme introduce you to a real one ;-)

The posters of “Garam Masala” all around the city keeps reminding me of my best pal…
Not that we run after girlz as it’s shown in the movie… but may be coz of the chemistry between us… BTW we hardly ran after girlz…

Things that keeps us rocking…
Both are big flirts… used to have huge female fan clubs… fantastic bike riders… stylish car riders… can tell lie without the blink of eyes… always smiling… hardly serious when in groups… play terrific pranks… good in acting… fond of dancing… have awesome diet… best pals and a lethal combination when in jerk mood…

We are together since our junior college… and know each other in and out… there wont be anyone in my family who doesn’t know about him and anyone in his family who doesn’t know about me…and the same goes with our friends too

Be it my Blog friends or his passing girl friends… very rarely we miss telling about each other…

We have seen each other… laughing…winning… achieving dreams… struggling… crying… with broken hearts … breaking hearts… flirting… and playing pranks
Lemme share some more pranks with you ;-)

None of our plans were planned… just spontaneous…
Once we both were standing at a Bus stop… and getting bored…
He thinks of something weird… and gets very formal ...

He: “Bhai sahab cigarette kahan milegi”
Me: mujhe nahin pata… main nahin peeta
He: Dukaan to bata sakte ho
Me: Arey bola na nahin peeta… samajh main nahiin aata kya
He: Bhadak kyon rahe ho… dukaan hi to pucha
Me: Jakar khud dhundo maine kya theeka le rakha hain
He: Naya hoon is jagah par isliye puch raha hoon …
Me: ajeeb baat hain… beekar main gale pad rahe ho… hogi wahan kahin… main bhi naya hoon
He: arey to aisa kaho na…
Me: to aisa nahin to aur kaisa bool raha hoon
(and we were quite loud… people @ bus stop were observing us)
He: nahin maloom hain to bool na nahin maloom hain
(and we kept arguing on top of our voice for nothing)

Me: accha chal ab bus aagayi ;-)

And we boarded the bus together…and were laughing like mads ;-)

Once at some railway station we saw a ticket checker and then he thought of some masti…
We tried to hide ourselves and were noticed by the ticket checker… he immediately caught us and asked for the tickets…
My friend said that the tickets are with me
I checked my entire pockets… shirt… trousers… purse… showed him some old tickets… then I told my friend that its with him… he did the same… 2 trains passed by but we didn’t gave him the ticket…
TC thought he caught one bakra…and then my pal said “give him the ticket we are getting late”… I replied… “ok as u say”… I removed my purse… took out the tickets… gave him and walked by… the expression on his face made our entire day… we kept on laughing ...

After that a lot of times when we used to see a TC… he was like… “arey yaar do u have tickets…” lollzzz
Although we have lots of dissimilarities and we come from entirely different background… still our rapport is just fantastic… may be my weakness is his strength and his weakness is my strength...

Since now we both are working, we actually get very less time to spend with each other and since ages we have not done “masti” together…
Mez was getting bored so thought of sharing some more pranks with u... Now thats enough from me...

Puneet & his Pranks

The latest prank played on me by my office gang (And I was welcomed) reminded me of the old times when I executed some very well thought of pranks…
I wanna share 2 pranks which I can never forget…

Meet Riya Saxena…
(Year 2000)
Riya Saxena a fictional character in the world of Puneet…
One day Riya mailed one of my very sweet friends in Mumbai… I was in Nagpur and so was Riya…
My friend replied back… enquiring who she was…
Riya answered no questions but kept sending her nice festive greetings and wished her on her Birthday thru mails and e-greetings…
Then… my friend got really curious to know who Riya was…
Riya then shared some close secrets of my friend…
My Friend got worried …
Finally Riya agreed to disclose her identity provided its kept secret…
My friend agreed…and
Riya said… “I’m the GF of your very good friend…Guess who…” and then
My Friend did some ground work and enquired back if he is Puneet… (Bingooo)
Riya confirms… and the conversation hits… they became good friends…
Riya shared how she met Puneet…how they became friends and their love story…but she took a promise of not sharing this with Puneet coz Puneet is planning to give them a surprise ;-)
This whole episode took around 3-4 months…slowly… steadily…and me enjoying and planning what next … ;-)

I visited Mumbai…and I know my friend… she can’t keep things to herself… and she shared about Riya with a common friend…and then…

Both of these girlz took a nice session of Puneet… Puneet narrated the same story which Riya had narrated…and apologized for hiding this…

Moreover my friends were like… “Dare u say anything to Riya” (coz she contacted them without keeping me in loop…) and I happily bowed down to their request ;-)

Luv story was continued for another month and I had to visit Mumbai again… this time a real friend of mine from Nagpur was with me… she knew about the Prank… and I asked her to play the character of Riya for sometime… when we reached Mumbai… my friends were completely confused… coz some knew I was coming with my friend…and some knew I was coming with Riya…
Finally the curtain raiser that there was no one called Riya… and we had a nice laughing session… my friend was almost about to kill me for that Prank…
It was great fun………..
(This was the time of my break-off with my ex-GF… so the story made sense to my friend)

Meet Rohit Arora
(Year 2003-04)
Another fictional character in Puneet’s world
He is Chartered Accountant working with Price Waterhouse Coopers… by coincidence got in touch by my sweetest pal… she is also a Chartered….

First my friend doubted the existence of Rohit… & knowing me immediately enquired with me… I used all my acting and lying skills to look innocent… and was successful ;-)

Rohit then exchanged lots of “Legal Updates” with my friend and other 7-8 friends (all fake ids created by me)…

and to add some spice… some occasional personal mails were also exchanged… and this was continued for months and my friend was assured about the existence of Rohit… she forwarded his “Updates wala” mail to me ;-) (hehehhe and I used to laugh… mean Me)

Now the time for curtain raiser… that too in style na…
Rohit wrote a mail to the entire group…
A formal meet was organized at Oberoi (at Nariman Point)… the whole gang who were on the mailing list were supposed to meet… and one was free to invite his/her colleagues… the entry fee was Rs.250/- (for dinner @ Oberoi…so cheap na…coz Auditors of Oberoi belong to this group… that’s why the concession… all planned up)…
My friend told me about the meet and I agreed to go with her… ;-)

My original plan was to go with her to Oberoi… to make her enquire about this meet @ Oberoi and after not finding anything… open it up… but then I came to know that she has planned to call some of her friends from Borivali on a Sunday eve…(for nothing)…

So I made some changes in the plan…

On the final day…Rohit was messaging my friend since morning to plan up the meet…(now u must be wondering how come Rohit messaged coz there was no Rohit and my friend must be having my cell number… he he he… I used to carry two cell phones… my office phone number was not known to my other friends and my personal number was not known to my office friends ;-) trick worked)…

Then in the afternoon Rohit called and spoke with her… in fundu accent… (I had to make that chat very brief else there was a fear of me getting caught)…

After sometime I spoke with my friend… she was like… He is a typical PWC Chartered… full of accent and attitude…
;-) I started laughing… and before she could say about the conversation I told her what Rohit and she must have spoken about… and she was like… “You are Rohit…@#$#%##@$”… good we were on phone…

My friend had told 3-4 of her friends about this meet and also her parents… gosh my sweetheart friend… faced the embarrassment of telling everyone that it was a prank… her parents went off laughing…

After that she always stored my office number with the name of Rohit… and when ever she used to talk about her marriage… I used to say… Rohit hain na ;-)…
I dunnu about Rohit…but I miss her a lot ;-) (And she went away)

These are not the only stories… but the ones which are very close to me… may be coz it’s played on my best pals… Rohit and Riya have troubled a lot of people… and so has Puneet…

Blogging Time Pass

I had a pretty silent weekend... most of the time relaxed at home and saw India winning the cricket series 6-1 (7-0 was not far ;-))

I got the links to the below quiz from Amutha's Blog... Thank you Dear... Finally I came up with it...

I had nothing to do so went for it... if u have nothing to do then go for it... else WHO CARES ;-)

Your Birthdate: September 9

Your birth on the 9th day of the month adds a tone of idealism and humanitarianism to your nature.
You become one who can work easily with people because you are broadminded, tolerant and generous.
You are ever sensitive to others' needs and feelings, and you are very sympathetic and compassionate.

Your feeling run deep and you often find yourself in dramatically charged situations.
This 9 energy always tends to give more that it gets.

That's Bing000... so true

Your Blogging Type is Logical and Principled

You like to voice your well thought out opinions on your blog.
And if someone doesn't what you write, you really don't care!
Serious and blunt, sometimes people take your blog the wrong way.
But you're a true and loyal friend to those who truly get you.

Blogging is no more a pass time... its one of the prime activity of mine ;-)

Your Blog Should Be Blue

Your blog is a peaceful, calming force in the blogosphere.
You tend to avoid conflict - you're more likely to share than rant.
From your social causes to cute pet photos, your life is a (mostly) open book.

aaaahhhh... Blue na... Black is any time better...

You Are 40% Weird

Normal enough to know that you're weird...
But too damn weird to do anything about it!

Only 40%... ;-)... something wrong here

You're a Romantic Kisser

For you, kissing is all about feeling the romance
You love to kiss under the stars or by the sea
The perfect kiss involves the perfect mood
It's pretty common for kisses to sweep you off your feet

ye... no doubt about... ok ok ... enough kissing have happened on blog

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.

You'd like to your lover to think you are flexible and ready for anything!

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage something you've always wanted... though you haven't really thought about it.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

They got this right too ;-) except for the society crap... I give a damn

How You Life Your Life

You seem to be straight forward, but you keep a lot inside.
You tend to avoid confrontation and stay away from sticky situations.
You tend to have one best friend you hang with, as opposed to many aquaintences.
Some of your past dreams have disappointed you, but you don't let it get you down.

Another Bingooo... except for one best friend...
I have more than one best friend ;-)

You are a Self-Discoverer

You're not religious, but you've created your own kind of spirituality.
Introspective and thoughtful, you tend to look inward for the divine.
You are distrusting of all forms of organized religion.
You especially dislike religious gurus and leaders, who you feel are charlatans.

aaahhaa that's news for me... but true on religious gurus n leaders...

Your Inner Child Is Happy

You see life as simple, and simple is a very good thing.
You're cheerful and upbeat, taking everything as it comes.
And you decide not to worry, even when things look bad.
You figure there's just so many great things to look forward to.

Good he is happy... else outer child would have been crying ;-)

And I was welcomed…

Ragging... Taking on people... Playing pranks are the things I love to do... But yesterday things were different coz I was the “Bakra”... In our office there is a tradition of welcoming the new person by taking him/her out for a lunch with the entire team. A very senior colleague of mine mailed the entire finance team that as a part of the tradition before lunch I’ll have to make a presentation on the topics as given by rest of the team members… and she happily gave me 3 topics and I was left at my will to select any one of my choice... First when I read the mail I thought there would be a nice ragging session...

The mail was sent on Tuesday late evening so I had some time to prepare... which I sincerely did... Next day all were like... “Are you ready with the presentation”... and I happily replied, “yes almost”... and it was made clear that it should be power point presentation... (all the time I was thinking of an oral presentation)… I just had 30min with me, and I came up with it... The whole team of 7 including CFO, were ready for my presentation... and I nicely went on with it... explaining fundaes... briefing and bla bla... At the end of it everyone was very happy appreciating… smiling and telling me that I got 10 of 10.

My senior colleague was continuously smiling thru out the presentation and while we were going out for lunch... Finally I asked her... What is she laughing for... and then she tells it was all a mock and prank... There is no such tradition of presentation and she enjoyed the sincerity with which I was making the presentation… and then we all went laughing. It was fun... At least some of my financial management fundaes got brushed up... and then we had a grand lunch at Orchids @ Santacruz... and wit that I was welcomed to the finance team..

I’m a little more than a month old in the new office and was amazed by the enthu level of the guys during Diwali. There was a Rangoli competition... First I thought... What big deal... seen such kind of competitions since I was a kid... But when I went to watch the Rangoli I was zapped seeing the creativity, neatness, imagination and presentation... It was simply awesome... Guys and Girlz made the Rangoli in a team of three :-)>

I've uploaded most of the Rangoli designs... and here is the link...
View Rangolis... Click Here

Its simply awesome… for a moment u would doubt that it’s a Rangoli… Enjoy and do lemme know your favorites. Sayesha I told you guys are not bad at this... Guys took active participation in most of the Rangolis...

Our Finance team on the Traditional Day in office

For my blog pals... Yesterday night my sleep got disrupted around 2.30, I tried but couldn’t sleep till 3, then saw my sweetheart cell lying on my bed and I was like... “Should I”... then finally it was a yes... I would write a post on cell ... and so I did...

Stealing a Kiss

Disclaimer:… The post is purely another crazy thought of mine… has no direct or indirect connection with anyone… including me… meant to be enjoyed in good spirit

Now since I have got all your attention, let me make it clear I’m not blogging how to kiss.
It took me a lot to put this on my blog. (I mean time and not guts).

Yes I mean exactly what I wrote – Stealing a Kiss.

I’m sure a lot of us are not comfortable kissing at a public place… especially in India … ever tried, it’s not dirty; so far you are not licking. It just needs the right timings and the right place. Stealing a kiss from the eyes of the world is fun.

I was thinking of the places where one can share a kiss – a movie hall, a lover’s park, a beach, a sea face, a train, a bus, a lift, a cab or anywhere else if you have the smartness to steal it!

Movie hall is one of the most obvious places, where couples take the corner seat. No wonder why 4 hours movie of Karan Johar and Yash Chopra are big hits, who cares what is going on the screen. There is nothing much to worry about, unless one doesn’t have a corner seat…

Most of the parks and gardens have turned into a lover’s point, not a very good place if kids are around. Very hit place for lovers as it pinches the purse least. Just have to find a place where there are enough trees to hide or enough couples to share the embarrassment.

A beach
obviously is a cool place to get cosy. With breeze of winds and sound of waves the places gets so romantic. Sitting on the sand with hands in hands definitely makes the eve. Beach is too crowded over here but couples still find cosy places.

A sea face, yes, if taking about bandstand then it’s a hotspot place. Just need to find a nice rock to rest your ass. Be ready to deal with the “chakkas” if you want uninterrupted privacy. A very in place in Mumbai, be it any time of the day. A lot of the times its embarrassing for the people who come for a evening walk… There is no stealing just enduring….

A bus, sharing a kiss here is very difficult unless it’s a private luxury bus. In a private luxury bus you just have to make sure the ones sitting diagonally front and adjacent are not gazing at you. Don’t lean the seat back to make it visible for others to watch what’s happening.

Train is again not so difficult types, not the local trains of Mumbai. But the proper outstation trains give enough of time and opportunity. If you saw “Yuva” then you must have got the idea. Top berth are also a good bet for the couples.

Cab/rickshaw… if u have got stuck in traffic at Hill road Bandra… going towards station… you would find many rickshaws occupied by couples... and I believe all are not shy ;-)… rickshaw/cab driver has to concentrate on his driving… so privacy can be taken for granted ;-)

Elevator, this is one of my favourites. One needs to have enough patience, calculation and smartness. Patience- to find the opportunity, so that there is complete privacy… Calculation to be sure when to start and stop… (Not the lift). Smartness to make sure that no one around knows what’s in your mind.

So what say… ever tried any… I have tried some ;-) not bad :-)>

If you can share anymore places then you are most welcome…

Have a great week ahead…

"The will to conquer is the first condition of victory"

I’m enjoying the way Indian cricket team is performing in the current series… and after holding myself for long finally I’m blogging about Cricket.

When our cricket team outplayed Sri lanka in the first one day… I thought its just one off victory… but in the second ODI our cricket team added to their humiliation by crashing them to defeat…

Nothing unusual… we are used to seeing India winning couple of matches and then loosing the entire series and when Sri lanka had set a target of 299 in 3rd ODI and Sachin out in the very first over I expected the great Indian batting collapse… and am sure most of us would have expected the same… but the handsome stud from Ranchi had some different plans when he came down to bat at number 3… the tall…good looking… n strong MS Dhoni was in Diwali mood and gave the best ever gift to all the fellow Indians… single handedly took away the match with complete comfort n ease…

4th ODI and I was wondering if the law of averages will come into picture… but this Indian Cricket team has just cultivated the habit of winning… awesome cricket… with 180 for 6 at one stage the heart of all the Indian cricket fans would have skipped a beat… I was in office and I immediately switched on the radio on my cell only to hear some sensible cricket under pressure by the youngsters and yes we won the match and the series… a 4-0 lead, which is very rare sight for the cricket fans over here…

With fresh blood coming in and a playing captain things are a lot different… although I don’t deny that its just the beginning… and this team has miles to go… but as they say… well begun is half done…

Well-done Indian Cricket Team…

"Victory is won not in miles but in inches. Win a little now, hold your ground, and later, win a little more."

Just be consistent and hungry for victory… and don’t be complacent…
I don’t expect them to win each and every match but don’t give it away…

With the series already won… we can see some experiments in the squad… but I would love the bottom line to be 7-0… a complete white wash…

Go for the kill…

"If you think you can win, you can. Faith is necessary to victory."

Eid Mubarak to all my Muslim Pals... God Bless

Crackers of Happiness and Candles of Love…

Diwali… I can relate this festival with lots of sweets… new dresses… kurtas… crackers… lots of holidays… out station trip… meeting friends n relatives… Diyas… lightening up house… and cleaning my room…

On the Diwali eve we have a “Lakshmi Puja” at home… and since years it’s happening in my room… (That’s an incentive to keep the room clean)… so yesterday morning...

Me: Where we would be doing the Puja…
Mom: Why… (Surprisingly)
Me: If it’s happening in my room then I’ll clean it ;-)
Mom: (laughing)… your room is too untidy… it will take days to clean it for Puja…
Me: Ye so good…. I don’t have to clean it today ;-)
Mom: Atleast make it a bit presentable…
This conversation is not new for either of us…

I had a pretty long weekend… from Saturday to Tuesday… Friday onwards the Diwali celebrations had started… with partying, shopping and meeting friends and I’m sure it will go on till this weekend… many of my friends will have this whole week as holiday… lucky chaps…

Yesterday we all colony friends met in the evening… and had a real good time… if in Mumbai then we all celebrate Diwali together… most of us are anti-crackers… we burn very few crackers… just for the sake of it… that too the non-noisy ones…

During Diwali I get an opportunity to wear my Kurtas… oh I love them… on Friday we had a traditional day in office and I was is complete traditional attire… again yesterday being Diwali I got an opportunity to wear Kurta… it’s fun…

I’ve surely put on lots of calories since last week… gosh… there are more than 7 to 8 varieties of sweets in my home… and I’m freaking on sweets… too difficult to resist… and who wants to resist…

I’m in complete festive mood… I’m actually finding no time to Blog these days… a holiday also unfortunately has only 24 hours ;-)
So I’ll be a bit irregular till this weekend… so please excuse me for that…

Gul Ne Gulshan Se Gulfam Bheja Hain
Aasman Ne Sitaro Se Salam Bheja Hain
Mubarak Ho Aapko Diwali Ka Tyohaar
Humne Aapke liye Ye Paigam Bheja Hain

Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali and a very Prosperous New Year…
God Bless You
