150 not out but…

No girls… this post is not on cricket… so chillax ;-)

In October 2005 I posted my 100th post… that came in slightly over 7 months, and in next 6 months I could blog only 50 posts…this is my 150th post… Wuhuuuu… cool na… but there is a substantial reduction in my blogging speed…

But will this trend continue?
Nopes

Ohh great… so its gonna be better na…?
Nopes

What do you mean?
I mean its gonna go worse.

Last year in December, for the first time a thought came in my mind to quit blogs… but then I was like nopes no quitting till I complete my one year… and recently I came up with my anniversary post :-)
Then the count was close to 150 so I thought to hang round till then.

So am I gonna quit blogging
Not exactly but my blog will switch into silent mode… for next few weeks it will be as cold as dead. I do have plans to be back, but when I don’t know...

I know this will take a lot of my friends on surprise but I guess I’m not left with any options. 24 hours in a day seems to be too less for me… I’ll try to bargain with god if he can consider my request to increase the number of hours in a day for me as a special case so that I can be in touch with you guys thru blogs… but considering my pervious experience with him I doubt if he would entertain my request.

With the financial year coming to an end, there is ample work pressure, moreover audits will take place soon and then I’ve got some other personal things lined up… and the only way I can devote myself to my real world is after withdrawing myself from my virtual world.

I promise that I’ll be back… I don’t think I will be able to blog with the same pace or dedication but then its difficult to be away from this beautiful world and the beautiful people I’ve met in last one year.

So for the time being… Puneet virtually signs off from his virtual world…

I’ve categorized all my previous 150 posts to the best I cud… herez the link… just incase you wanna get more bored than you already are ;-)

Bajate Raho ;-)

All cricket lovers must be upset with the recent defeat in test match against England. Anways, lots read/seen in newspaper, on blogs and on television… this post is no analysis on cricket…

Yesterday, a crazy thought hit my mind… what some of our cricket stars would be thinking after the defeat… so here I go…

Suarav Ganguly : Huh ‘so called’ TEAM INDIA still looses the way it used to under my captainship… so why sack me alone… “Aur Banao captain Dravid ko”
I Quote – “Main Intezaar Karunga, Team Apni Coach Parayee”

Rahul Dravid : Ooooh I thought England will drop my catches too, wasn’t that a silent deal… doesn’t matter I’m Captain anyways till 2007 and in good books of Chappell too…
I Quote – “Deewar but without Birla Cement”

Sachin Tendulkar : Aaila I’m again out for 2 months… yet again thanks to my injury… finally something is consistent with me… my injuries, can still manage soft corner coz people blame injury for my non-performance
I Quote – “Master Blaster in complete plaster”

Greg Chappell : I need to exchange mail with someone real fast to divert the attention from this failure…
Wish Saurav was in team… I’m missing my scapegoat ;-)
It’s team effort… whom to blame.
I Quote – “English Babu Desi Team”

Virendra Sehwag : Network was busy so ‘meri ma’ ka phone nahin aaya…but my wife said since chickens are effected with flew… ducks will do, good atleast someone will be happy…
I Quote – “Batsmen No. 9 2 11 ”

Anil Kumble : Now I’ve to come ‘one down’ at batting also… too tough at 35yrs
I Quote – “Main Hoon Na”

MS Dhoni : My Hair style is not working for me… I thought after hitting the ball, it falls only beyond the boundary… I’m Misjudging… catches… stumping and boundaries… Mumbai ke dhoodh mey milawat hain…
I Quote – “Catch Choda to Darna Kya”

Irfaan Pathan : Was I selected as opener… or as a strike bowler or as a middle order batsman… or as a…
Gosh can anyone tell me my role… thoughts going ‘all round’ my mind
I Quote – “All rounder banaya aapne”

VVS Laxman : Thank God I was not playing, anyways I wouldn’t have scored, now my chances of getting selected for next match increases.
I Quote – “Should be in test team atleast - Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai ”

M. Kaif : I was the only guy who played in previous games and still I was not selected. Kam se kam 12th man rakha hota, 3-4 catches to pakad leta,.
I Quote – “Apne Hue Paraye”

Yuvraj Singh : I told you ‘Kim’; I’ll meet you early today after the match. Next time I’ll try to make it before lunch
I Quote – “Akele Hum Akele Tum - Kim aur Yuvi”

Sreesanth, Munaf & Other bowlers : 15 catches dropped, We virtually got all of them out twice in each innings, we really are strike bowlers.
I Quote – “Fielders Huye Pagal”

Wasim Jaffer : I can give Dravid a serious competition, na na nothing to do with captaincy but our strike rate matches a lot… less than 20…
I Quote – “Run Banane Bhi Do Yaaro ”

Harbhajan Singh : Firang Sardar asardar aur main local bekar
I Quote – “Phir Wohi Spin Laya Hoon”

Indian Selectors : Do we need a separate Test Team? One-day team scores more than the test team.
I Quote – “Team Wohi Jo Match Jeet Kar Laye ”

Andrew Flintoff : Oooh I didn’t remove my t-shirt…just forgot… but good in a way, coz Dravid is replacing Ganguly everywhere, and I guess he might at Lords Balcony too
I Quote – “Wah team ho to aisi”

England team management & coach : The trick of bringing 2000 England supporters (of that 1500females, and of that 1100 watching matches in bikini) finally did the trick… we got their attention at right places at right time.
I Quote – “11 Khiladi aur 1100 haseena”

Cheers

We believe what we are told

Disclaimer: No offence against any religion or whatsoever... Purely my personal opinion...

I was never fond of reading… specially novels and all… few days’ back I called up my friend to meet in colony after office and since she needed some reason to come out of her home (coz it was 8.30 and her dad sometimes behave like Hitler), she took this book along to give it to me…

I was like… u know I dun read much then why this book… but she insisted on reading this… and was sure that I would love it…

The book in discussion was “Da Vinci Code”

In the following weekend I made an outstation trip and got the opportunity to read the book… and here is an interesting conversation between my friend and me…

Me: Hey luv u for da Vinci Code… read some odd 100 pages… It’s simply awesome
My friend: I know… U & I share the same tastes in life… :-)
Me: Ye thats true… except for a sip of Vodka n a flesh of meat ;-)
My friend: I am quite sure you would have liked it… If you were born some other place… some other time… some variables here n there…
Me: That “if” changes the entire perception… lets live without it
My Friend: Aint it always like that
Me: Indeed is ;-) but love for perception thru “if” is never less either ;-)
My Friend: ;) Ah wisdom… we are so full of it… he he he… abhi bas kar

(Thats just one of our bizzare style of interaction ;-))
I shared this conversation just for fun…

Within a working week I could complete the entire book… that too during a hectic week… after having my dinner I used to read book till 2-3 in the night… it was so addictive… the twists… the turns… were simply awesome…

Coming to the story… it will shatter your trust on Christianity and God… some times its difficult to doubt the facts that are narrated in the book… or rather the way in which they are narrated…
But if you are a true holy Christian then please don’t read this book… it might hurt your sentiments…

But from a purely novel point of veiw, I believe this could be one of the best written book... ya its one of the most controversial also... If you have read this book then please let me know what you think about it :-)

I'm not so 'crazy' about History as such… but I love if someone attempts to prove that the old age customs we are following were mere convenience of the people who were in the power during that era… and they have just given some mythological link or have attached such other similar stories(beliefs) behind it… to attract the public acceptance…
And I feel it’s the same for any religion… in any part of the globe…

I can’t follow anything blindly just because a group of people called community is following it… there should me a meaning attached to that custom… and that meaning should appear logical to me…

Sometimes my sis and I get nice lecture from mom that we don’t respect culture and all that blah blah…
For me Ramayan and Mahabharat are mere mythological stories…

Infact the whole perception with which I see Mahabharat is different… the whole kingdom for which the fight happened was always “Duryodhan’s” but he was always shown as a bad guy… I mean if someone will gamble his wife and loose that gamble and then blame the other for misbehaving… who is the real culprit
This is one such incident I can give u plenty of such reasonings where the so-called “good” side were not so good… Neways thats my perception ;-)

I don’t even endorse the custom of Karwa Chowth… I fail to understand how a husband’s life will be long coz of wife keeping a fast on a particular day… and leave alone that… how the hell moon comes into picture…

Ne ways… people who believe do… (Including my aunts… grandmas… some of my friends… n my sweet GF)

History… is always debated… coz the same story is different when told in different region/state/country... it’s based on what we have heard since we were kids… or what people have endorsed thru books and what we have heard need not be true always… ;-)

PS: This post was drafted in December last year... finally its on air ;-)

Sharing the fun

I hope you guys had a safe and happy Holi (all those who played).

In olden days when Holi was played, for preparing colours, flowers of Tesu/Kalash were used. This flower had some medicinal value. But now people mix chemicals in colours and also use oil paints… that’s so disgusting and bad for skin…

That’s me… We played only with Gulal and water… Infact in the Northern and Central India Holi is played in grand style… the festival goes for almost a week and they use some nice “pakka” colours that stay for days…

“Do me a favour lets play Holi”… a sidy song from the movie ‘waqt’ urging someone to play holi… that’s not how this festival is played… I still believe in the older version… Aaj na chhodenge bas humjoli.. Khelenge hum holi.. Khelenge hum holi..Chaahe bheege teri chunariya, chaahe bheege re choli... Khelenge hum holi...

Some of our friends don’t play Holi… so every year we go to their house… give them dhamki… “tu bahar aa rahi hain ki hum andar aaye”… and then… rang barse ;-)

Herez the link for Holi snaps…Click Here

We guys went to Shirdi in Jan 06…for viewing the snaps of the trip… Click Here

Have a nice weekend.

Rang Barse... Bheege Chunar wali... Rang Barse...

On Friday I was cribbing about the traffic… here are some of the pics of traffic jam… the pic is taken from the canteen of my office.

On Friday night I was returning back home at 12:15 from Malad after meeting some of my friends and I reached home in 40mins (covering a distance of almost 28kms) and in the morning I barely covered a distance of 2.8kms in 40mins… ;-) Strange …

Anyways just thought of sharing about that incidence…

India will be celebrating Holi…(infact at some parts already started)... Holi... the festival of colours… I’ve always loved this festive…
Its one of my favourites… during our childhood we used to have amazing fun throwing ballons… having colours all over the face… guys ragging girls and vice versa…

Actually when we guys used to play cricket, the girls group used to throw balloons from the corridors of the building… one week full of this natak… we guys used to keep a track of the girls who were very active in throwing balloons and on the day of Holi we used to take the revenge in complete style…

The fun and masti have reduced but not vanished… I’ll be celebrating holi with my colony friends and my family…
Singing Holi songs is big time fun… being in group and singing at the top of our voices… and if therez a “dholak” then the mazza doubles :-)>

I’m sure some of my friends would be lost in the rang of bhang… so its gonna be fun watching them and taking care of them ;-)

"Kuchh rang ho, sab sang ho,
Aur ho barish gulal ki,
Ek nayi subah, nav geet-swar,
Laye Holi is saal ki"

Wishing you all a very Happy Holi

So how will you be celebrating this festival???

Some routine…some change…

Thursday morning it rained heavily here… rains in Mumbai are always special for the Mumbaities… a welcome change from the humid atmosphere… throughout the day the atmosphere was so cool and romantic… had my GF been here I would have surely bunked the office…

For a change I left early for home… I thought I’d get nice time to hang around with my blog-friends on YM but destiny had some thing else stored for me… There was a short circuit in the power-buster that connects my PC :-(…pretty sad… that made me upset… I’ve given it for repairing… hope to catch you guys soon…

I utilized that idle time to play around with my cell (which recently got repaired)… and also to read the book (Eleven Minutes), which was half read and was lying on my bed since days ;-)

Friday… one of my favorite days… but what a bad start… The traffic in the morning was gruesome… it took me 45min on bike to complete a distance, which normally takes only 10mins… 45min that too after taking my bikes from all the possible gaps…kaacha road… and driving from the wrong side… the scorching heat and humidity… the voice of the horn…and the frustration of every sufferer stuck in traffic was making the going worse…

Andheri always amazes me with its ability to provide most miserable driving conditions… whenever I feel this is the worse… this place ends up putting me into a more horrible situation… that’s why I believe worse is yet to come ;-) and I request god… please deduct the number of years I spent in Andheri from the total numbers of years he allots me to hell ;-)…

Anyways that’s enough of cribbing from me… I’ve some nice plans on cards for the weekend… I hope they are not screwed up…

Wishing you all an awesome weekend…

Cheers

Love is not a choice

You can choose
Who to care
Who to protect
Who to Share life with

But U can never choose
Who to fall in love with…

Coz

Love is not a choice
It’s DESTINY

This was a SMS forward I received couple of days back and it made me think for a while…

How true is it???

Can we actually choose whom to fall in love with… or it just happens…

How many qualities we have in our mind… (The andekha anjana concept of DDLJ) do we actually think of all those when we fall in love???
Do we tick mark or say, “Yes” or “No” against the so-called ‘perfect’ list we have in our mind for our lover...

"Chahat par bas nahin badi belagam hain
Har koi apne ishq ke dar par gulam hain"

I do agree that love is not a choice... its destiny...
it happens when we expect it the least... or with the person we never would have thought... or its so fast that we realise only after falling for it...

(I'm only talking about falling in love... not about a relationship... or staying with that person for life)
"Khata to tab ho jab hole dil kisi se kahe
Kisi ko chahate rehna koi khata to nahin"

What do you think... is it true ???

Three years… and on…

Three years… so fast… we used to be together everyday in the morning and in the evening… some time late nights also…

As such I never had a problem with her… I tried to keep her happy most of the time… ofcourse there were instances when she left me in dismay but I take it as a part and parcel of my life…

Actually 4 months after I got into my first Job… I realized its gonna be impossible to live without her… I asked my parents but initially they were not ready, but fortunately even they were convinced that we both could handle ourselves quite nicely…

I still love her the same way I used to do when I saw her for the first time… oh yes… I fell in love with her at first sight…

Shez my beautiful bike… ;-)

She has made an impact on my daily life in numerous ways…

She and my daily routine…
Comfort… convenience…. mobility… independence… style… she has given me all…

She and my GF
She has some special attachment with my GF… although they have only met thrice but the bonding seems to be so very strong... whenever I have a quarrel with her, my bike retaliates on me... if today I'll have a fight with her... then tomm for sure my bike will get puncture...
also when my GF is very down... my bikes breaks down...
and no I'm not kidding... I'm observing this since 3 years... (some black magic I guess ;-))

She and my other female friends
If she is so loyal to my GF... how can she like my other female friends ;-)
Jokes apart...
Till six months back, I never gave lift to any of my female friends on my bike... girls were always a big No No when it came to riding on my bike...
Strange it may sound... but it's true...
My bike was nicked as Bachelor’s bike… Bramhachari Bike… and so on…
Only after I drove with my GF... my bike lost its virginity ;-)

Off late I've been a bit liberal… and started giving lifts to my female friends… but I’m very choosy about it… it's only if I want to or if there is no other option available… else I bluntly say a No... :-)

She and my Blog
What blogging has to do with bike???
For me a lot :-)>

Last one whole week I was without my bike… coz it got punctured on Monday morning… and last whole week I was not able to blog much also…
So was that a co-incidence…

Or do my bike virtually links me to virtual world…
Yes it does :-)>

My bike saves my 1.5 to 2 hrs a day...

Without her the flexibility is lost… I can’t stay late coz I’ve to get up early to catch the company’s bus… same in the evening…
Otherwise… sometimes just to avoid traffic I used to be in office and use the fantastic net speed to catch up with the blog posts…. (sshhshhhhh no one is gonna say this at my office ;-))

She and my Blogging posts
I had some posts sharing about her and my encounters... providing the links... just incase if you are interested and have nothing else to do ;-)
