Driving Temperament

Driving is something which I love to do… be it my bike or my car… I’m crazy about it.

Since my teenage bikes used to fascinate me… I was eager to earn so that I can buy a bike of my own… I always wanted to own it by my own… and within 6 months of entering the corporate world I made this dream come true…

Bike is a lifeline for me… coz I can’t travel like dogs in Mumbai local trains and BEST buses… and Cab or Auto rickshaw would be too expensive considering around 50kms of travel every day…

One day I took my Car to office, basically I had to attend a wedding of my friend and after that office… and all were in opposite directions (my house, wedding place and my office)… I was wearing a “Kurta” so taking my bike was not possible… While I was on my way to office I got stuck in traffic jam… it was a hot day…around 1 in the afternoon… I’m so used to taking my bike through small gaps between vehicles and my cheeky overtakes, that I was getting impatient sitting in the car and waiting for the traffic to clear…

I feel its all about temperament… driving bike has made me so impatient that I find it hard to wait… ne ways I cant stand traffic jams… its sucks me… I just hate it…

When in Car, I hardly have room to try something unusual… I have to quietly wait and listen to FM.
Infact even if I’ve to overtake someone I’ve to be doubly cautious while changing the lanes… especially with the city roads, being smaller in size. When I drive my bike I move from one end of the road to another… in between every possible vehicle…

But there are some reasons in favour of Car too… No helmets… No jackets to escape from rain and dust… no back pain… can nicely listen to music… don’t have to carry my lap top on my back… ironing of clothes doesn’t get effected… faster than bike on highways... and less chances of body injury incase of accident
Did I said "Highway"... oops .... due to heavy rains all the so called Highways have turned into village roads... infact even worse :-(

I drive car during weekends, mostly when we go for movies… and most of the time we are late ;-) Thanx to my female friends (I hope NV ur not reading this…) So I have to drive fast and some times rash too… gosh…
I love fast car driving, specially in city overtaking other cars ;-) but I get very less opportunity for this coz of the horrible traffic.
Most of the time I feel I have not switched from Bike mode to Car mode… and that's what frustrates me when I'm stuck in traffic jam while driving car

Temperament can’t change overnight…

oh i love bikes!!!!!!! they are the sexiest and the hottest ever. I hear you about traffic man. I live in Los Angeles and face the worst traffic every morning on my way to work..its a parking lot of thousands of cars...and among all of us we see a biker going by....so nice so smoooth.....and gets to work wayy ahead of any of us.... also i agree with u as far as driving fast.... so my drive from LA to my apt in Santa Barbara (which is 100 miles from LA) is a gorgeous non-traffic drive...the ocean is on one side and the mountains are on the other.. absolutely GOREGEOUS!!!.... good music, no traffic and wonderful scenery...wat else can i ask for?

st000nie I cant get to ur blog - why?

While a nice hot guy on a bike is a great watch ;-) I really dun like bikes and am scared of em lol! My dad was a bike speed-demon as well as car, jeep etc etc. He was a good rider and driver. But when he took me in his bike I used to panic like hell...I dun like the bike being so open - I always have the fear that Im gonna crash and injure myself lol!

Cars r my babes...luv driving and I love long drives with Nirvana or GNR music on...the day I bought my first car with my own money was the happiest day in my material life ;-) the feeling I got when I saw the car I ordered staring at me in the Toyota showroom, is just hard to put in to words...hehehe...

Puneet u need to take it easy when driving...dun be too hasty and always 'concentrate' - take care. btw u look hawwwt in that bike ;-)

u r right puneet, Bike u can overtake in a narrow road. But car one should wait for signal. And the mumbai roads are so bad, no fun in driving or riding..

Hope goverment should come up with some good plan..

flyovers are not yet enough..Some good infra structure needed for this Metro (cosmo)

Yeah....I so hate doing this
Add to it, bodily odour of people around you.
It gives me headache....yukkk

Cab or Auto rickshaw would be too expensive
I travel by cab only on company expense which Im enjoying right now in Delhi. The other night, it rained here and I had to take subway to cross the highway. I ask and Auto-wala to do it..
He gave me a surprised look and said, its on the other side
I replied back, Yeah...cant ur ric go there.
He muttered...whtever :)

ne ways I cant stand traffic jams…
Read somewhere...dunno how much is true
8-n-half days of every living human being is wasted in Traffic Jams.
I think the survey didnt considered Indian traffic. It should have been 80 days or something.
Boy...traffic jam traffic jam...its better to carry bread and jam for a nice time pass :)

Highways have turned into village roads...
Look at the positive side. Bumpy roads can help you out in digestion too na :)
Kidding...
Monsoons...scrwes up mumbai roads for sure. I hate travelling from Pune Mumbai as soon as the bus exits the Expressway. It gives literal meaning to PAIN IN BUTT

drive fast and some times rash too
Driving rash is always an amazign experience with a female in the back seat.
Alright...ladies reading this...I never tried this stunt coz I dont know how to drive bike. and no one sits in the back seat while Im on a bicycle.
Chillax!!

Good one Puneet :)
Take care and have an awesoem day ahead

Yes dear…
No fun driving in Mumbai, unless it’s a pubic holiday ;-)
The roads have become so damn pathetic after heavy rains…

Hope government should come up with some good plan..
u don’t trust our government or what…
they have got exceptional plans… didn’t heard about converting Mumbai into Shanghai…
but there plans are always on paper…
and before election ;-)

Some good infrastructure needed for this Metro
ye … very true… hearing about bandra-worli sea link since four years…
hopefully it should be ready by the time my kids start driving ;-)

I think Puneet has theoritical experience
hey rightly noted… 4-5 on bike can be seen…
infact I’ve practical experience too…
wen I was in Nagpur I used to take 4 of my cousins along with me on Kinetic/LML vesspa… hehehehe
my cousins were kids at that time ;-)

Cheers

**Jinesh
unless the roads get decent… no race buddy…
after that I don’t mind… I know u drive real fast…
but you are unaware of my car driving…
I’m sure u must be impressed by my bike driving ;-)
Hehehehhe
But I’ll bet on u… coz u r a very regular rash driver ;-)
Hahahahah kidding dude…
Take a chill

I can’t :-(… who will drive then… ;-)

Bumpy roads can help you out in digestion too na
no dear… not at the cost of my back pain…
some patches are so damn pathetic… I’m also wondering my next bike-servicing bill :-(

Driving rash is always an amazign experience with a female in the back seat
ye… you r true… but it shouldn’t look showoff also ;-)
my girl loves fast driving… she drives rash than me…
last time when I was driving with her… she didn’t seem to be much impressed… and
in no time I switched into my typical stylish mode… man I love that…

no one sits in the back seat while Im on a bicycle
hahahhahahhaa…..

hope you had a nice day..
