My Stars are not good right now…

Do you believe in astrology… palmistry… horoscopes…etc etc etc…
I don’t…
When things goes bad with us, most of the time we blame it on destiny or luck… or ease away by saying my stars are not good…

“To err is Human and not to accept it is Humanity”

Sunday morning started off at 11:00am (thanx to late night movies on VCD). The day picked up speed as some relatives were expected for lunch, I had to get ready fast not giving any more opportunity to Mom to scold me… she knows how lazy I’m… he he he
A movie was planned with my friends and my cousins in the evening… we ended up checking 4 theatres and only finding the “HouseFull” board…that was truly disappointing.
The evening went away while chatting around and some shopping etc.

Am not saying that my stars are not favourable just because I didn’t get movie tickets. I was in my room at 11:00PM, all set to relax, work for couple of hours and then go off to sleep… I never had a clue that anything will go wrong by that time. My colony friend called me and said that I’ve forgotten my driving license with him, since he leaves for office pretty early I went to collect it from his place… his house is hardly 5 mins drive from mine…I collected the license and was only 20-25 mtrs away from the parking slot in my building when things went wrong… I couldn’t figure out the loose dry mud and took a nice sleek steep turn… ended up into loosing control of my bike as my bike skidded…I went right down on ground… bang (@#$%^%$@).

I got couple of cuts on my left palm; couple on left foot, one on my right ankle, plus 3-4 very small wounds on my hand, legs and lower lips… that was horrible…My sis was shocked… my parents were asleep so we didn’t disturbed them. She got me the first aid kit. I cleaned the wounds with water and then applied medicine. I thought it would be alright by next day… but my hand and leg had got swollen, I went to the doctor, did the bandage on my hand, took anti-tetanus injection, some medicines and back home.

Fortunately no major wounds or cuts… it should take a week to get my bike back on roads… Since this year I’m having a lot of encounters with my bikes… I accept that I’m a fast rider but I don’t drive rash… my bike driving has always fished me compliments.

Earlier this week too when I was going with my sis, I dashed into a tempo, but that was surely not my mistake, the tempo took a quick turn and then applied a sudden brake… fortunately the bike didn’t fall and I could control it but the bike had some damage due to the clash… Infact Sunday evening I was just remembering my bike accidents and thanked god that whether it was a small or a big one I was lucky enough to get away without a scratch… may be my gratification got rejected by him :-((
May be I’m getting a bit over confident and careless… this time I surely was… I was very casual and careless… I could have avoided it.

I drive 20-25 kms a side daily and a lot of people keep telling me drive safely, isn’t it risky to drive that long… and all those elderly concerns… but for an accident to happen you don’t need a 25 kms long journey… it can happen 25mtrs from your home…

I may blame it on my stars to satisfy my conscious but deep down inside I know it was my fault and my carelessness… cant take the risk to afford it again… the cost is too high.

This post is written with a bandage on one hand… I love to blog and drive too… Cheers

Sorry to hear abt the damage your carelessness caused you. My belief is even though the destined is unavoidable, all our good deeds just keeps us from the evil mishaps. We build our destiny on our habits, deeds and beliefs.

Bike accidents in Mumbai are widely known. Guess its cos of lack of traffic control, some poor or congested roads and negligent driving. Hope you feel better and stay safe

awww certainly not goood news...I'm sorry to hear this. Hope ur getting well faster though...please take care.

I agree that it doesnt take much of a distance from home to have an accident...when I first bought my car I crached it on to a wall just abt 20m away from home...lol...I'm laughing now, but at the time I was shaking n was very frightened. I couldn't even u'stand how dumb n how careless I was that day! It's not usually me...I'm a very careful person and to date I never had another road accident but I still cant u'stand what happened that day...I guess u could be right abt the stars...my mum believes in it and she did say that my stars were bad at that time...hehe..I guess I want to believe that even though I admit I was pretty dumb that day :) But sometimes no matter how careful or prepared u r, silly things happen...

Take care and get-well soon Puneet!
Keshi.
